Current CCSU students, faculty, and staff may use the library's subscription databases and e-journal collections outside the campus network. Please follow the guidelines below to obtain access.

Logging in with your BlueChip Number and PIN code

Setting a library PIN allows CCSU students, faculty and staff to view or listen to course reserves, use subscription databases and e-journal collections at home, and view their library accounts. You can set a PIN by going to the following URL: http://www.consuls.org/patroninfo. Type your BlueChip card number in the first box. Leave the 2nd box blank and click 'Submit'. Another screen will appear prompting you to set a PIN. The PIN, which should be at least 5 characters, can be any combination of letter and/or numbers.

If you previously set a PIN but can't remember it or you're getting an error message when trying to enter your BlueChip ID number and CONSULS PIN, you can reset your PIN by going to the following URL: http://www.consuls.org/patroninfo, and clicking on Forgot my PIN?. Please note: You must have your university ID number available to reset your PIN. PIN numbers can be up to 30 characters, either numbers or letters, but cannot contain patterns, (e.g. aaaa, abcabc, abcdabcd).
